The Berlin Series
The Berlin Series is the most comprehensive, integrated array of sampled orchestral instruments available. Designed for complete consistency across the series, all Berlin Series collections play together perfectly, enabling you to seamlessly incorporate new sounds and customize your virtual orchestra for each project. We now offer five complete orchestra options that meet different composing needs, or you can get collections individually.

Berlin Orchestra Full
A full symphony orchestra sampled in great detail. Features 6 collections from our flagship series with massive string sections, first chair strings, woodwinds, specialist woodwinds, brass, and percussion. It’s a wealth of possibilities for your compositions.
Berlin Orchestra Pro
Contains the tools a professional composer needs, built on the foundation of all four extremely detailed pillars of our flagship series. It also includes massive symphonic string sections, additional brass and woodwind instruments to complete the orchestra, strings first chairs, and woodwinds soloists.

Berlin Orchestra Max
For orchestral composers who like to use every sonic hue imaginable, this is the most complete sampled orchestra available. It contains 21 orchestral collections with standard articulations, special playing techniques, playable effects, specialist instruments, large sections, small sections, solo instruments—all the colors of the orchestral rainbow and everything in between.

Berlin Free Orchestra
A complete orchestra designed to give you everything you need to start composing. A perfect introduction into the Berlin Series no matter what kind of music you make.

Berlin Orchestra
Created with Berklee College of Music specifically for its world-renowned screen scoring curriculum. An all-in-one tool with more articulations, round robins, and dynamic layers than Berlin Free Orchestra.
Beauty is in the details
If Berlin Free Orchestra is a starting point, and Berlin Orchestra Created with Berklee is streamlined for learning media composition, what makes Berlin Orchestra Full, Pro, and Max more suitable for professional media composers?
Fully detailed sampling
Working with Berlin Orchestra Full/Pro/Max means you have access to all the details to make your instruments sing. In contrast to Berlin Orchestra Created with Berklee, Berlin Orchestra Full/Pro/Max comes with a full set of round robins to avoid the ‘machine gun effect,’ as well as the full complement of legato patches for various expressions and playing speeds. This gives you a more authentic and lifelike sound, and a more organic and responsive performance when using the instruments.

All mic positions included
Berlin Orchestra Full, Pro, and Max were recorded using multiple microphones from different positions throughout the room. Being able to choose a perspective gives you control over how direct and dry or how ambient and far away the instruments will sound. The SINEplayer lets you blend mic positions to dial in the exact sound you need. You can route these different mic perspectives to different outputs in your DAW, or you can merge them into a single custom mic position to save system resources.
Complete set of articulations
Articulations are the syllables you use when composing with a virtual orchestra. A full set of articulations—from very short staccatos to marcatos to long sustains, from different kinds of legato transitions to elegant ornaments—gives you the flexibility to realize your musical ideas. Berlin Orchestra Full, Pro, and Max provide a complete set of syllables for crafting profound orchestral statements.

Compare Berlin Orchestras
The Berlin Free Orchestra is, for many of you, the first step on your path as a composer or creator. The rest of the Berlin Series offers you successive options that grow with you—compare them here.
